top ten

i can never remember all the movies i’ve seen each year, which ones i saw this year or which ones were older than that. i can never remember which toys i got that came out this year, and all of that. i never have the foresight to write all that down and keep some kind of ranking system, and most of the time, my top ten of all time would kick the ass of my top ten of the year anyhow.

so here’s the top ten things that were or are good in 2004.

1 — energon gestalts. i’ve only got two limbs and two torsos but already i freaking LOVE these things. if you ever got even a small amount of joy out of many small robots combining into one larger robot, go get the new constructicons RIGHT NOW.

2 — sg-1 and sg-atlantis. two great tastes etc… just quality tv, highly recommended.

3 — amazon dot com. i just did the rest of my christmas shopping and if i’d wanted to, i could have paid to have it by christmas. as it is, i’ll get it by new years, and that’s fine.

4 — breasts.

5 — losing weight. eat less, exercise more. it can work for you too!

6 — a good job. people i like, pay worth working for, work that’s not mindnumbingly boring OR soulcrushingly hard. people who would rather you took a little longer to do it right than rush through everything faster better more.

7 — winter. lots of foggy mornings this year so far walking to work, i really enjoy that. portland looks really good in fog.

8 — napolean dynamite, shaun of the dead, alien vs predator, and all the other movies that came out this year that i can’t remember AT ALL.

9 — good time spent with friends doing fun things. x-box with my brothers, hanging out with the gang, or just shooting the proverbial shit with you lot.

10 — feeling good about where i’m going with my life, feeling like i have a handle on things, for the first time basically ever. taking control is good.

8 — e3 being good/having good toys
7 — ultraviolet, that future vampire movie with milla
6 — peter jackson’s king kong and the subsequent announcement of ‘there and back again, a hobbit’s tale’ with ian mckellan and weta involved
5 — more information on katamari damacy 2
4 — a computer that will let me play half life 2
3 — getting some kind of webcomic started finally, and generally posting more qualitative content to my website in the form of sketches, toy pictures, story ideas, and so on.
2 — building the most ridiculous neighborhood ever in the sims 2
1 — moving out on my own and maybe acquiring one of those ‘lady-friends’ we hear about from time to time
