goddamn ingrown toenails on a regular basis. i am totally hooking up an appointment with podiatry to have my big toe nails removed and KILLED so they never grow back and i never have this problem again after my kaiser insurance ends in may.
in other news, i’m eligible for health care at timberline now so that’s pretty cool. i really like this job most of the time, and thats about as much as i can ask for i guess. it’s still not my career but it’s workeable.
there might be an opening in kt and miles building in june, which is around the time i might be able to move out. that could be good.
hasbro cancelled the xevoz right as wave 4 was about to hit retail. consequently, the last few figures, including the amazingly cool superhero, got sent to their overseas dumping grounds. like singapore. i know a guy in singapore. he’s seen those figures in stores and is going to try to snag me a set. hell yeah.
as for getting a comic started and making it happen, i’m not sure which one i want to do first of my larger projects. i’ll probably start with some smaller stuff like chaz vs courtney and some cthulhu and pals, and see what seems appealing. my actual composition skills seem to be improving at a fantastic rate, so maybe i’ve been picking up on more tricks than i realize over the years… wait and see, i suppose.
of course, before i can publish anything i need to get my scanner hooked up, and get some kind of webhosting. i’ll sit down with scott while i’m up north and we can probably get most of the website stuff if not actually done, at least set up a plan of attack. setting up hosting and transferring domains shouldn’t be a problem. i’m totally going to snag my two brilliant new domains this week(aka tomorrow night) and once those are set up, i’ll have one domain for my blog, one for my main-site, and one for cthulhu and pals.
i found a bunch of xevoz on ebay for good prices so i snagged more than i probably should have, but i’ll be getting half the ones i missed at retail plus a bunch of extras for customizing, including two preda-crawlers to make blame guys. soon i’ll have the gunfighter and the big monkey, then i just need the armoured soldier and the bird, plus the other guys from wave 4.
too bad the line didn’t live longer. the stuff i’ve seen for wave 4 is amazingly good, and MAN i wish they’d done some girls. but then again, microforce is still going strong and they’ve got plenty of males, females, and licenced properties. i found out their predator stuff is based off avp, which i’m not so sure on afterall, but i’ll have to see some better pictures. the alien queen should be freaking amazing, although i have no idea how the construction will be, unless it’s a rubbersuit like their godzilla stuff. that’d be awesome.
i’ve decided i’m going to start buying the japanese versions of the binaltech/alternators transformers, aka the ones that turn into super-realistic model cars of real cars. the american ones cost half as much, but the japanese ones are diecast metal. given that they’re perfectly scaled for starcom figures already, i might as well get the metal ones so they can put their magnalock feet to good use, and stay on the figure in robot-mode.
they’re making a binaltech shockwave! he turns into a purple car, and in robot mode he’s got his mono-eye head and pink gun-hand. looks fantastic, as does wheeljack, who turns into a white porsche? with two blue stripes along his top from front to back. simple paint scheme, but it looks great in car-mode and really makes his robot mode stand out.
luke linked me to this site which is a collection of old superman covers with the theme ’superman being a dick’…

That superman site is hilarious
