showing off

presenting a fabulous update of the pictorial variety! a disturbingly revealing insight into my home and my thoughts!

[addendum -- this is obnoxious, wp makes it easy to upload files and claims to create thumbnails for them, but the html tag they give you for the image neither works nor displays the thumbnail. and i have no idea where the thumbs are or what they're called. so you get text links, kids. manually. it's just like the days before i had wp to make things easier than straight html... :P]

firstly, as the dollar tree snack aisle knows, pimpin’ aint easy.

secondly, some xevoz mods. behold horace mark 2, earliest prototype.

horace mark 2

this one first one is pretty simple, just the head so far. the body needs to be refined to make it more space marine-ey, but i’ve got designs on that. the head is the key. i know how i’m going to permanently attach the human head inside the dragon head, just haven’t done it yet. thank goodness i’ve got like eight soldiers now, so i have plenty of spares of the little ball-joint-on-a-stick part and can hack one up.

horace mark 1 was made out of the heads of two blizzard diablo figures…

horace mark 1

this design is a chaos space marine lord or a daemon prince or both. possibly a clone of horus, of the eponymous horus heresy, where half the space marines turned to evil and were exiled into the eye of terror. he and his legions may show up in my eldar saga, although this design might not be horace. in any case, i’m almost definately including him in my raft of xevoz 40k conversions, given that i was able to translate the main feature of his design, the head, so easily. at this point he’s already sort of armoured looking. add some specific iconography, the backpack and shoulder pads, and he’s more or less set after some minor paint work.

i did some work on cibo, but she’s giving me trouble. completely disregarding the head, even. i think i have her legs and arms more or less figured out. torso is waiting for the robot to arrive off ebay, and the head i have no idea. once i get the body down i can add accessories and polish things up.

killy i realized i don’t have designed as solidly as i’d thought. just his arms, really. it’ll come to me.

back to the stuff i did work on. horace up there isn’t together anymore, because i needed to try out my full dragon design. it worked really well, but there are no big bat wings for the xevoz. short of modding some wings off maybe a transformer, maybe giant dx nightscream? i have no idea. and i don’t want a land dragon enough to buy another firedrake 2pack and repaint a bunch of dune stinger parts.

it was worth doing once though, just to prove it would work. i also wanted to show off how good the cat looks with full armour and two swords, so here you go.
