did a bunch of eldar character design and story crafting this week. the second part of the saga is shaping up, and it’s starting to feel like when my simple idea for a jedi kung-fu movie sprawled out into what is now a five movie epic.

most of it is coming out pretty good. i need to scan the color pictures i did of blue, and i need to give her a real name, not the nickname from when these were paint schemes for my eldar necromunda gang i never did.

old kid earned his nick, though, and i think it’s staying.

i gave up on one of my ebay auctions. it’s been three weeks with no contact and even if they got back to me now, i’m not sure i want to give them my money. the question becomes, do i give them negative feedback? i’m well within my rights, given that i’ve sent half a dozen emails in the last three weeks. BUT if i give them a negative point, i’m almost guaranteed a negative point of my own, which would mar my otherwise perfect rating.

technically, i’m not really out anything since i still have my money. i’m not sure it’s worth the trouble to kick their ass, since if i’d been paying more attention, i would never have bid on a money-order only auction in the first place.

in any case, i put the m/o in the bank and hit up the comic shop. it was exactly enough to get bprd: the dead 1 and 3(found 2 and 4 last week) and codex: eldar, which will help me in writing the saga.

i have 20 xevoz figures sitting unopened on my table right now, with 8 more on order with another ebay seller. also i have five microforce figures shipping eventually from NY, and there’s the ebay seller who sent me the wrong item by mistake and apparently hasn’t tracked down the right one yet.

next on my shopping list. pay my taxes, what little there are, and upgrade my computer. good video card, new motherboard, maybe a dvd burner, maybe a flatscreen. definately a clean install of my new copy of xp. then i will do nothing in my spare time but play half life.

they have an n64 set up at kustom pizza co. xima and i played a bit of mariokart 64 while waiting for the pizza last night. that game is GOOD. i need to get a cube so i can play double dash, animal crossing, alien hominid, and etc. i’ll probably get a cube before i get an x-box 2, given that the only games i know will be on x2 that i want are halo 3 and the next elder scrolls game. meanwhile there’s 5-10 good cube games out now that i want, and that’s just the ones i know about.

i’m like 80% through pop:sands of time. probably finish it up this weekend and unlock pop 1. then next week i can go pick up midnight club 2 and/or ssx3 and/or doa 3 and/or doa beach volleyball, which are all $20 new now. probably just midnight club though.
