don’t do drugs

ten dollar dvds are the new cocaine. as i’ve mentioned before, i agree with scott’s stance of preferring the omega-deluxe versions in all cases with the caveat that most dvd documentaries are absolute crap, and all i really need is the movie, the trailer, a commentary track or two, and glorious dvd quality. unless there’s a ton of deleted scenes, some really high-end making off stuff, or some other extra worth paying twice as much for, the basic version is usually just as good and costs half to a third as much.

SO the fact that there are so many movies on dvd for ten bucks or thereabouts is totally kicking my ass.

target had the theatrical cuts of all three lotr for 10 apop on sale this week, as well as the directors cut of riddick. snag. i also recently picked up the blade runner directors cut and oceans 11 for 9.95 regular price at freddies, and a used copy of the two disc tron special edition put me back only $13 at gamestop. i started to make a list of all the movies i want at freddies and target that are ten bucks, and it’s two pages long.

i didn’t relate my revenge of the sith toy adventure from saturday, that’s a post i don’t have time for right now. suffice it to say i went to two targets and didn’t find a single clonetrooper. went back tonight and there was a single clone on the front of peg. take what you can get. i did get three of the superposable clones from the non-animated clone wars line, so that’s good. if i get one more basic e3 clone, two of the commander/arc trooper, two tank gunners, and two of the jetpack clones, i’ll be solid. and maybe one of the 4packs of the first sp version in rank colors(aka yellow/red/blue/green trim). and maybe a 4pack in clean white. and maybe a 4pack in battle-worn dirty white. and maybe a 4pack in dirty rank colors.

damn.

i missed a bunch of friends birthdays, so they all get presents at my birthday party, as will everyone else, all hobbit-style.
