wednesday night i was talking to ryan about how i wished i still had the battle corps cobra commander i’d had as a kid. it was my favorite cobra commander figure. black military uniform, black hood, giant eye-holes so his sleazy eyebrows show through.

inspiration hit and i walked over to the computer, looked it up on ebay. found one mint on card for $13, bought it now.

it showed up friday.

ebay is black magic. i have summoned this toy from the depths of my childhood.

i miss the old joes. three or four bucks, roundabouts the battle corps era, would get you a fully posable figure, a missile launcher, and a literal sprue of weapons, including a nice little display stand. sure, they were neon colors, but it was nice. four new joes would have gotten you a fucking arsenel.
