glorious five year plan

i owe a fair bit on my credit card(don’t get a credit card!) and i’m getting raped on interest(don’t get a credit card!) and i’d like to move out, BUT if i stay in the basement, i can pay my way out of debt in a year. instead of paying interest and never really reducing my debt, or taking 3-5 years ot pay it off.

the plus sides of this plan are that when i do get my own place, probably early 2007, i’ll be able to skip the studio apartment phase of the plan and go right to a nice 1 bedroom.

also, the ikea store will be open at the airport. hello, clever furniture.

the five year plan is pretty vague at this point, but it involves no less than four Big Ideas; gary dirin longevity, cthulhu and pals, and the toy comic. specifics are few and far between, but largely seem to require the purchasing of some electronics equipment. a 19″ dell flat panel, a new scanner, a wacomm, and a new digital camera. finally getting a pda to keep my random flotsam thoughts more organized is a step in there as well.

the idea of a cheaper oqo, even if it’s still a month and a halfs pay, is pretty damn sexy. i’ll settle for the clie nx80v, for now. naturally, though, i waited too long to get one, the guys selling them for $450 new on amazon are gone. i’ll have to get one used on ebay and hope for the best regarding lifespan.

or suck it up and get an ipaq, or a palm lifedrive, or wait for an oqo, and bam, there’s no winning.
