case-study as follows. skechers is having a big sandal sale, giving away on the site a code for 50% off and free shipping. the shoes i wanted, the badass irvine shandals, were ineligible when i tried to check out. then i remembered to check retailmenot, and found a second code for 25% off anything. punched that in, and also ended up getting free shipping. so my $60 shoes cost me $46 and will be mailed to my house for free.
