iron man is the rare treat of being just as good as its trailer, and also, having had a trailer that doesn’t show ANYTHING from the second half of the movie. that never happens and it’s amazing they pulled it off on such a big release.
also, jeff bridges is creepy. who knew?
i wish all superhero movies were this respectful of both the source material and the audience.
and the bit after the credits was basically marvel comics saying ‘we’re just as glad we got the movie rights back to all of our characters as you are’.
we got there half an hour early. it was digitally projected. they had a two minute loop of crappy trivia slides playing. first time in my life i found myself thankful for the 2wenty regal firstlook.
